Barely days after suffering a heart breaking 3-2 loss away to rivals Vipers, the reigning league champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) are back in action with another away duel.

This time round, they make the short trip across town to Kabowa where they will face sleeping giants Express F.C at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

Back in the days, matches that involved Express with nemesis side KCCA were a cracker of sorts and often, would be too close to predict.

At present situation, Express has struggled for form, consistent positive displays home or away which leaves the six time former league winners in eminent danger of being relegated.

Despite the slip at Vipers, KCCA had a match earlier humbled another struggling giant URA 7-2 at Lugogo.

Still, they managed to score two away goals against Vipers at the dreaded St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Such is the form that the reigning league champions carry to Wankulukuku stadium.

Timely return of Nsibambi:

Forward Derrick Nsibambi returns to the KCCA fold after an injury that sidelined him out for some time.

Up front, Nsibambi will partner up with on colour center forward Muhammed “Deldon Jaggarson” Shaban, scorer of four goals as a person against a hapless URA outfit.

Trusted feeders as Allan “Jolly” Okello, Julius Poloto, Jackson Nunda, Paul Mucureezi and Lawrence or Isaac Kirabira in the anchoring role will serve the due purpose at a time long term injury casualty Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Muzamiru Mutyaba are fast recovering.

At the backline, KCCA has throughout the season preferred a three man defence with captain Timothy Awany and goalkeeper Charles Lukwago the constants.

Meanwhile, Denis Okot Oola, Fillbert Obenchan, Habibu Kavuma and Mustapha Kizza are rotated by manager Mike Hilary Mutebi and his technical support staff.

This match will help KCCA prepare for Friday’s CAF Champions league group stage match away to Township Rollers in Botswana.

Fresh from a one all draw away to Maroons, the Red Eagles will target nothing but maximum points if they are enlighten the chances of surviving the drop zone.

Goalkeeper Godwin Kiwanuka Buule, on form Michael Birungi, Jalilu Zimula, exciting Davis Mayanja, Ayub Kisalita, defender Omar Hitimana, gangly striker Alfred Leku and Isaac Kisujju are some of the players that the Red Eagles will dwell upon on the evening.

Express captain Steven Luswata remains sidelined due to suspension following acts of indiscipline.

KCCA’s agenda for maximum points will see them close gap to leaders, Vipers by one point while Express will jump to 11th just in case UPDF falters at Bright Stars on the same day.
