Vipers have a chance to open up a point five gap at the top for at least 24 hours when they visit Proline at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

The Venoms head into the game confident following their surge in form and the decent record against Proline, who are struggling for survival in the top division.

Vipers have only lost one league match to Mujib Kasule’s charges in the last eleven league meetings.

That loss, 2-1 came at home in the 2012/13 season but the two-time league champions have won 8 and drawn twice in that period against the Wandegeya based side.

Miguel Da Costa will continue with his ban but not much is expected to change from the squad that won 1-0 against Kansai Plascon in the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Sunday.

Milton Karisa, Erisa Sekisambu and Daniel Sserunkuma will continue to lead the hunt for goals with Taddeo Lwanga, Duncan Seninde and most likely Brian Nkuubi dictating the game in the midfield.

For Proline, on form Daniel Isiagi and Gift Ali will again be tasked with asking questions to the visitors backline manned by the intelligent Bashir Asiku and Geoffrey Wasswa.

A win for the Kitende based side will stretch their points tally to 55 points with four games to play while maximum points for Proline will see them jump out of the Red Zone with 29 points.
