- Gor Mahia 0(5)-0(4) AFC Leopards

Gor Mahia edged arch rivals AFC Leopards 5-4 on penalties to win the Hull City Challenge on Tuesday at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
The teams played out a goalless draw after regulation before centre referee Peter Waweru directed the tie to be decided via a shootout.
And it was Vincent Oburu who skied his kick from the penalty spot to hand Gor Mahia the win and an opportunity to play English Championship side Hull City.
Gor’s Rwandese forward Jacques Tuyisenge had shot the first kick wide, before goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji gave K’Ogalo a lifeline by saving Whyvonne Isuza’s kick.
Meddie Kagere, Uganda Cranes left back Godfrey Walusimbi, George Odhiambo, Humphrey Mieno and Bernard Ondieki — all converted their penalties for Gor, while Ezekiel Odera, Baker Lukooya, Duncan Otieno and Robinson Kamura converted theirs for Leopards.
The match was the maiden Mashemeji Derby for AFC Leopards newly appointed coach Rodolfo Zapata.
K’Ogalo showed more hunger in the first half but Ingwe held their ground before the tables turned early in the second half with Odera keeping Gor’s defence on their toes.
Ugandan international Godfrey Walusimbi’s free-kick at the edge of the area was kept out by Owade.
In the final 20 minutes of the game, Zapata gave former Bright Stars and Soana midfielder Baker Lukooya a run in the place of Brian Marita.
Zapata’s opposite Dylan Kerr introduced Humphrey Mieno for Kevin ‘Ade’ Omondi and Medie Kagere for Ivorian Ephrem Guikan but there was no change in the scoreline.
Gor Mahia will thus play English Championship side Hull City on May 13 at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
