  • Budo CC 111/10 in 33 overs lost to Wanderers CC 112/1 in 19.4 overs by 9 wickets

The return journey to Kampala was easier for Wanderers than Budo after the former defeated the latter by 9 wickets.

Wanderers in their second game of the season were able to see off a stubborn Budo by 9 wickets after they repaired their batting woes.

Budo batted first and scored 111 all out in 34 overs with Tembo Zubair (3/13) and Kateyenge David (3/23) doing the business with the ball.

Wanderers Captain Denis Musali followed up his century on the same ground with an unbeaten half century with Abu Sseguya (32) his company.

Wanderers dealt with the small total with a mature approach taking no risks in the chase and when the youthful side got tired the experienced Wanderers took the game to them scoring freely finding the gaps for boundaries but also picking the singles.

  • Avengers CC 94/10 in 21.5 overs lost to Patidar CC 96/2 in 16 overs by 8 wickets

In Budo, Patidar passed the Avengers test by 8 wickets with new recruit Innocent Mwebaze picking a career best 6/19.

Avengers who were 38/0 at a certain stage collapsed to 98 all out.

Avengers have now lost back to back games after falling to ACC last week by 9 wickets in Jinja but for Patidar they can start looking ahead after winning their first game of the season.

The Division 2 new comers lost their first game to Tornado and needed to avoid defeat to make sure they don’t find themselves in the relegation battle early in the campaign.

Denis has represented Uganda in international cricket events including the World Cup. He is currently the captain of Wanderers Cricket Club.
