Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Football Club earned a hard fought point in the goal-less away duel to Bright Stars at the Champions Stadium in Mwererwe on Tuesday.

In a game of limited scoring opportunities, the footballing soliders staged a brave fight throughout th match to pick a crucial point at a time they have been desperate in the relegation struggle.

Bright Stars captain and the league current top scorer, Nelson Senkatuka got closer to breaking the deadlock with an effort rattling the cross bar.

The home side coached by Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach, Fred Kajoba lost diminutive midfielder Mahad Kiseeka through injury in the 56th minute.

Ramex Kasozi took over his place in the forced substitution.

The Honda Keisuke and Lato Milk sponsored club further replaced the former URA left back Samuel Ssekitto for another Ssekitto entity in Hakim, formerly at Masavu on the hour mark.
