Uganda will be among the over 100 countries invited for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Worldwide Participation Conference set for the 8th and 9th July 2018 at the Stamford Bridge stadium in London city, Britain.

Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) president Cedric Babu was invited among the key note speakers for the two day’s meet.

The conference is intended to increase participation of countries in the game of tennis.

Over 200 participants from the ITF affiliated national associations will take part in this conference whose key agenda among others will be geared towards increasing female participation as well as the use of data and statistics to measure impact of initiative.

David Haggerty, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) president, Paralympic multiple gold medal winner Monique Kalkaman, Fed cup captain Judy Murray are some of the other key names to present at the conference.

The development comes five months after Uganda was readmitted to the ITF programme and at an opportune time when the country is currently hosting the ITF Uganda Pro Circuit.
