The record national champions for the Copa Coca cola football championship, Kibuli S.S suffered their first loss of the 2018 campaign, falling 2-1 against Nakaseke International at the Kakyeeka stadium in Mbarara on Thursday.

After the game, Kibuli however, petitioned  the local organizing committee accusing Nakaseke International of fielding double licenced players who had played in the Western region qualifiers in Bushenyi district.

Relatedly, Ijumo High School also petitioned accusing Soroti representatives, Light S.S of using non students (impersonation) and fielding overaged (above 20 years).

The verdict for the pending cases will be passed on Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Buddo Secondary School continued with their fine runs twenty goals in two matches. Buddo S.S humiliated Sebei College 15-0 at the St Joseph Vocational technical play ground.

Striker Emmanuel Loki single handedly led the one sided assault with five goals.

Frank Ssebufu added four goals with Mark Nsubuga also notching a hat-trick.

Goffin Oyirwoth scored a brace and Abul Kajjamabaggu completed the massacre.

This was Buddo’s second game at the championship following their opening day 5-0 result against Ryakasinga CHE.

Ryakasinga CHE humbled North East region ambassadors Amuria High School 4-0 at the Mbarara High play-ground.

Ronald Mutebi, Anatoli Irumba, Baton Musinguzi and Wilber Tumusiime scored for the Western region representatives.

Wakiso region representatives Standard High Zana recovered from a goal down to overcome Mbarara based St Joseph Vocational 3-2 at the St Joseph play-ground 2.

Alex Oryek scored a brace and SC Villa Jogoo midfielder Salim Abdallah added the other for Joachim Mukungu’s coached side.

Joseph Tugarukiremukama and Evaresto Gumisiriza’s free-kick were the goals that St Joseph Vocational scored.

Kampala regional champions Old Kampala S.S beat St Mary’s SImbya 3-1 to record their third successive win.

Faisal Ssevume, Geofrey Ggaganga and Isa Ochama scored for Old Kampala S.S.

Kennedy Ngonzi had earlier scored the equalizer that gave St Mary’s Simbya some life at the half hour mark.

Eight time champions, St Mary’s Kitende recorded their second win of the tournament, triumphing 2-0 Hill View College, Bulangira at the Ntare play ground, adjacent Kakyeeka stadium.

Abdul-Karim Watambala and Rashid Farid scored for St Mary’s Kitende who also had coach Moses Golola on the touch line.

In the afternoon matches, Masaka representatives Blessed Sacrament Kimanya over came Adwari 5-0, the same score line that Masaka SS won against St Joseph S.S, Buyaga.

Reigning champions Jinja S.S overcame Lubiri S.S 3-0 and St Peter’s High School shared the spoils with St Josephine Bakhita in aone all draw.

Kamwenge lost to Green Valley 1-0, Bishop Angelo Negri and Mbarara’s Welden shared the spoils in a four goal stalement and
Saviour High School held Rock High Tororo to a one all draw.

The matches continue on Friday with group stage matches that will run until Monday.

Jinja S.S is the reigning champion.
