Al Ahly coach Hossam El Badry says they are in Kampala for maximum points when they face KCCA.

The Egyptian giants drew goalless in their first group A match of the 2018 Total CAF Champions League and nothing short of three points will jeopardize their chances of advancing beyond quarter finals.

El Badry knows a thing or two about the Uganda Premier League champions who are in the competition group stages for the first time.

“We know KCCA is a good team,” Hossam El Badry said. “We always play with one thing in mind, to win,” he added before he called for fair officiating.

And our main target is to win because we drew our first match. I hope for me and my players to have luck with officiating because in the first match we suffer a lot.

The Red Devils, record Cup winners will miss the services of key players Ali Maaloul (Tunisia), Junior Ajayi (Nigeria) and top scorer Walid Azaro (Morocco) through injury but El Badry remains optimistic the available ones will do the job.

Of course, missing three key players is a tough case to deal with, but I know my players are up to the mission and whoever gets the chance to play will do his job.

The Red Devils’ last visit to Kampala dates back to 2005 when they drew 0-0 with SC Villa in the Champions League first round.
