  • KICC 208/ 10  Davis Karashani 74(70) in 49.5 overs beat Kutchi Tigers 168/10 Aezaz Kophariya 65 (59) in 41.4 overs by 40 runs
  • Man of Match: Davis Karashani 74(70), 3/31 in 8.1 overs

It has become a trend this season that if Davis Karashani plays well KICC will surely win.

KICC was welcoming back the Division 4 championship winning duo of Frank Nsubuga and Irfan Afridi.

KICC has had a torrid time with the bat and only their razor sharp bowling has been able to win them games.

KICC won the toss and they laboured to 208 thanks largely to Davis Karashani (74) who was able to deal with the Kutchi Tigers spin loaded side.

In the chase, Kutchi Tigers looked on course to complete an easy win when they were set at 140/4. However, the spin trio of Frank Nsubuga, Irfan Afridi and Davis Karashani had other ideas and the dismissal of Aezaz Kopchariya with the remaining 6 wickets falling for only 20 runs.

The win much needed by KICC who have played the most games in the top division means they have now four wins out of the six games they have played and remain firmly in the hunt for the title.

Kutchi on the other hand have only played three games winning one and losing the other two but given their second round showing last year they are late bloomers preferring to come from behind to make a charge for the title.

Denis has represented Uganda in international cricket events including the World Cup. He is currently the captain of Wanderers Cricket Club.
