Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Omar Jamal Magoola has quit Sudanese premier League outfit El Merriekh Sports Club.

The soft-spoken shot stopper made the move after a long thought after decision.

Jamal has reportedly already crossed over to rival camp Al Hilal Sports Club to seek greener and fresh pastures in the next paddocks.

“I signed a three-year deal with Al Hilal Sports Club and let us see how things move on that side” Jamal attested to Kawowo Sports moments after Uganda Cranes 2-0 away victory over the Kingdom of Lesotho in Maseru.

Reliable sources in Sudan indicate that Jamal pocketed an estimated $ 50,000 sign on fee (cash) for the treasured signature on the dotted lines of the employment contract.

Jamal had joined El Merriekh Sports Club over four seasons ago from 12-time Uganda Premier League winners, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club.

The former Express Football Club goalkeeper had grown in stature and is no question a cult status in Sudan.

Jamal is the current immediate understudy goalkeeper to the team captain and first choice goalie Denis Onyango, who plies his trade with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Key attributes of his game include explicit game reading, penalty stopping, collection of routine high balls and taming one against one situations.
