Match day four of the 2018/19 Uganda Premier League takes center stage on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Charles Ayiekoh “Mbuzzi” Lukula’s Kirinya-Jinja S.S entertains Asaph Mwebaze’s Onduparaka at their Mighty Arena within Jinja Secondary School in one of the four games lined up on Tuesday afternoon.

Onduparaka currently lies 7th on the 16-team log as they have managed to win twice and recently registered a shocking 2-0 home loss to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club last Saturday, at the Green Light Stadium.

On the other hand, Kirinya-Jinja S.S Football Club is 8th having drawn twice (KCCA and SC Villa) and won once in their opening three games as they have five points, one short of visiting Onduparaka.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S:

On form striker Joel Madondo, scorer of a brace apiece against Sports Club Villa in Jinja and away to Tooro United will once again be the focal point for Ayiekoh’s side.

Currently, Madondo is the league top scorer with four goals to his name out of three games.

Uganda Cranes’ defender Isaac Isinde returns to the team fold having missed the 2-1 win away to Tooro United since he was with the national team away in Lesotho for the AFCON 2019 qualifier.

“The return of Isaac Isinde is a big boost for the team given his experience and confidence at the back” Ayiekoh disclosed on the match eve.

Isinde’s return will definitely relegate Anthony Mayanja to the bench. Mayanja started at right back against Tooro United.

That implies the right back slot will be taken up by Douglas Muganga.

According to Ayiekoh, the rest of the players who made the match day squad for Kirinya-Jinja S.S against Tooro United, apart from Rajab Sabir will play against Onduparaka.

Godfrey Dada Akol, Nelson Mandela, Faizal Muwawu, Fred Amaku will be other players of substance for the home side on the day.

The Arua side made the trip to Jinja on Sunday and will be eager to avoid defeat for the second time in a row having fallen 2-0 at home to KCCA last Saturday.

The Catarpillars are injury hit and will miss several key players suffering from different ailments.

Team captain Rashid “Martesacker” Toha (ankle), Ezra Bidda (groin) and the Gadaffi duo of Gadihno (ankle) and Wahabi (fracture) all the did not make the Jinja journey.

However, on form Viane Ssekajugo returns to Jinja where had wonders with Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos and will lead the quest for goals alongside the tried and tested Samson Ceaser Okhuti.

Rashid Okocha, Fred Okot Oola, Sabir Simba, Abel Eturude, Richard Ayiko, Nicolas Kagaba and goalkeeper Nicolas Ssebwato will all be expected to be on their A-game for Onduparaka to get a meaningful desired result away from home.

In the continued absence of the towering Toha, Simba will captain the visiting side.
