Kirinya-Jinja S.S Football Club head coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula has challenged his charges to quickly rise to the occasion as they take on the league reigning champions Vipers on Tuesday at the Mighty Arena inside the Government aided school premises.
“I do not think we can suffer the same humiliation we got from the last game when Onduparaka beat us 3-0 at home in the last game. I therefore challenge the players to raise and play their hearts out against Vipers” Ayiekoh, a former Vipers coach back in the years noted in the pre-match press conference on Monday.
Kirinya – Jinja S.S will look forward the sharpness of the current league top scorer Joel Madondo for the much needed inspiration alongside Fred Amaku, Faisal Muwawu against an organized Vipers back line that has Livingstone Mulondo (formerly at Jinja S.S), Bashir Asiku, Geofrey Wasswa and Yayo Lutimba.
Lutimba is expected to maintain the left back chores at a time Aggrey Madoi is sidelined with a painful ham-string.
Kirinya-Jinja S.S team captain Godfrey Akol reasons that the game will be determined by slight details.
“This will be a crucial match for both of us. Slight details will separate the victors on the day” Akol asserts.
Still unbeaten with a 100 percent record, Xavier Martinez’s Vipers Sports Club will fight for maximum points to enlighten their chances of retaining the league crown.
The venoms, as they are tagged by their faithfuls will dearly miss the services of their inspirational captain Tadeo Lwanga through suspension.
Lwanga, a hold midfielder was red carded during the club’s immediate past game that they won 3-1 away to rivals Sports Club Villa at Namboole on Stadium.
Key elements as Moses Waiswa, Duncan Sseninde, Tito Okello, Davis Kasirye, Daniel “Muzeyi” Sserunkuma and the scorpion goal hero Abraham Ndugwa will be the main offensive key actors for visiting side against defenders as Uganda Cranes’ Isaac Isinde.
“They (Kirinya-Jinja S.S) are a stubborn side that we cannot take lightly” Sserunkuma, as quoted by the Vipers official web portal noted.
After four games, Vipers is the only side that has maximum points and they comfortably lead the 16 team standings with 12 points.
Kirinya-Jinja S.S is currently 9th with 5 points off 4 matches.
Out of the previous four meetings between the two sides, Vipers has an upper hand with two victories, one draw and loss apiece.
