Mike Mutebi feels his side deserved maximum points following a dominant display against champions Vipers at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
The two sides shared spoils following a 1-1 draw with the Kasasiro missing a late penalty that would have won them the game and taken them top of the table standings.
“It was a very good game of football, a very good advert for Ugandan football,” said Mutebi. “But we were dominant in every aspect and every stat and am disappointed we didn’t win the game,” he added.
Mutebi also had a few words for Ibrahim Sadam Juma who had a good game but the manager felt otherwise.
The midfield gem who was instrumental in the middle for the Kasasiro missed a penalty.
“We got a penalty that would have earned us points but a certain Sadam Juma who was playing poorly decided to take it,” he lamented before later admitting Sadam is a good penalty taker.
Our designated penalty taker is Awany. But maybe he shied away and Sadam took responsibility. Away from the miss, he is a good penalty taker too.
Mutebi never shies away from attacking his players in the public but when asked what Mustafa Kizza didn’t do well to get substituted at half time, his reply was different.
I will tell him why. It’s not for you to know but him.
The former Maroons and SC Villa coach has in the past blasted Sadam, Muzamiru Mutyaba and other senior players for bad games but always has a soft words for the young ones.
Meanwhile, KCCA dropped to third on the log with 12 points after Bul’s emphatic victory over Ndejje University at Njeru.
