Emmanuel Okwi played sixty minutes as Tanzania’s Simba took a first leg advantage with a huge 4-1 win over Mbabane Swallows of Eswatini at National Stadium, Dar es Salaam.

John Bocco scored twice while Clautus Chama and Meddie Kagere scored a goal each to earn the Msimbazi advantage.

The team captain broke the deadlock inside eight minutes before the visitors drew level in the 23rd minute through Guavane.

Bocco restored the lead from a penalty won by Okwi ten minutes later with Kagere extending lead seven minutes to time and Chama sealed the victory with a fine strike in the 90th minute.

The two sides face off in seven days to determine the aggregate winners that progresses to the pre-group stages.
