England Roses have won the three-match Vitality International Series over Uganda She Cranes after a third victory to complete a 3-0 whitewash.

The Roses won 66-37 on Sunday afternoon at the Cooper Box Arena in London having already claimed a 65-53 on Friday on the same floor, and a 50-46 win earlier this week at the Echo Arena in Liverpool – the home of the 2019 World Cup.

The Roses had stormed into a 20-12 first quarter lead, powered by Helen Housby and Rachel Dunn.

Uganda rallied in the second quarter just as they had done in the first game of the series, battling to stay in the contest and, led by Peace Proscovia, they edged the second quarter 12-11 but damage had already been done.

Roses did enough to maintain their momentum while She Cranes ran out of gas. Once again Muhayimina Namuwaya struggled against Natalie Haythornthwaite who superbly directly Roses traffic in attack.

The hosts of the series made top movement on the floor both offensively and defensively and She Cranes struggled to cope.

The series was played in preparation for the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool. England and Uganda are in the same group.
