Douglas Bamweyana couldn’t hide the disappointed after SC Villa dropped points at hometo Maroons in a game they missed a penalty.

Bashir Mutanda equalised for the Jogoos after Maroons took the lead through Pius Obuya but the 16-time champions were dominant forcing save after save from Man of the Match Emmanuel Akol.

“We are very disappointed with the results,” a seemingly devastated Bamweyana told the press. “We were in control, created chances and even got a good one to win it but that’s football,”he added.

Nevertheless, the gaffer was impressed with the team’s performance and expects the ‘boys’ to improve.

“Besides the result, it was an impressive performance but there is still room for improvement.

Under Bamweyana, SC Villa have collected four points in two games, same tally they managed under Moses Basena in eight league outings.

SC Villa are 11th on the 16-team log with 8 points in 9 games.
