Uganda Cup 2018/19 (Preliminary Round)

The 2018/19 Uganda Cup preliminary round is set to kick-off with 16 matches in the Buganda region this Friday, 14th December 2018.
The Buikwe derby between Buikwe Red Stars and Lugazi Municipal will be the mother of all battles lined up on the day.
The two sides have already faced off this season with Buikwe Red Stars emerging victors during a Buganda regional game (In Ssezibwa group).
Meddie Muwaya is at the helm of Buikwe Red Stars whilst Dan Ssegawa handles Lugazi Municipal Council.
In some of the other matches, Robert “Kaka” Kakanga’s coached Econ Soccer Academy will host Kakiri Town Council at the Katabi Town Gombolola play ground.
Lugazi Nabugabo comes face to face with Africa Polysack at the Forest Park ground in Kabembe and Nangabo Green Valley will up against Bugerere at the road side Wampeewo play ground.
Simba plays host to Zengebe at Namulonge, Ebenezer plays Red Stars at the Kitegomba play ground in Gayaza whilst Busiro United will entertain Rising Stars at the Nsagu play ground, among other matches.
This round is knock out and the successful clubs will progress to the round of 16 at the preliminary round in Buganda region.
Meanwhile, the other regions will also get engaged in their respective preliminary round encounters.
KCCA is the reigning champion of the FUFA Uganda Cup.
