Its official, KCCA will play Congo Brazzaville’s AS Otoho in the Caf Confederation Cup playoff round.

Having qualified to the round after defeating Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar, the Kasasiro were paired against the Congo side that dropped from the Caf Champions League.

AS Otoho fell to Zimbabwe’s Platinum Stars on away goals rule after drawing goalless away and drawing 1-1 at home.

KCCA will play the first match away in Brazzaville on January 11, 12 or 13, 2019 before they host the return match a week later.

The Congo side are playing on the continent for only the second time in history unlike KCCA who reached the group stages of the Caf Confederation Cup in 2017 and also played in the Caf Champions League in 2018.

In their debut campaign, AS Otoho lost at the preliminary round 9-2 on aggregate to Algeria’s MC Algers despite winning 2-0 at home.
