KCCA Football Club has played on the continent for the past three seasons, reaching the group stages of the Champions League and Confederations Cup.

On Sunday, January 13, the Kasasiro will take on AS Otoho D’Oyo in the first leg of the pre-group round of the the Confederation Cup.

And according to assistant coach Morley Byekwaso, the Ugandans will bank on the experience garnered from playing against the big boys on the continent when they battle the Congolese.

“We have experience on the continent after playing the big boys in Al Ahly and Esperance last year and we can not afford to be clumsy like it was at the start,” Byekwaso said as quoted by the club website.

“The lads have to be fearless against AS Otoho and pick a good result in the 1st leg,” he added.

KCCA arrived in Brazzaville on Friday afternoon and had a light training in the evening before connecting to Owando (Saturday morning) where the match will be played.

“In the training you would see everyone was focused, positive and determined and they want to go pick a result in Owando on Sunday.”
