Vipers SC coach Michael Nam Ouma picked positive despite his players drawing goalless at home to Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

The Ugandan reigning champions were brilliant on the day as compared to past outings creating a plethora of opportunities but denied by lethargic finishing and good goalkeeping.

“It was a good match,” started Ouma. “But unfortunately, we failed to convert the many chances we created,” he added.

“But we pick positives as the team created chances if you compare to past games. This is a good sign.

Vipers must score in Tunis and avoid defeat in order to progress to the group stages of the competition for the first time.

“It’s not over yet and we shall go to Tunis and do our best.

Vipers have never won a continental game away from home and have only avoided defeat once in five outings.
