KCCA coach Mike Mutebi feels the difference between his side and Congo’s AS Otoho d’Oyo was effectiveness revealing the team wasn’t in Congo to play a containing game.
The Congo Brazzaville side won 3-0 against the Ugandan side to gain advantage ahead of the return match in Kampala on Sunday.
“It’s not over,” said Mutebi in reference to the defeat. “They were just effective in the final third and we were not but we were never outplayed at all,” he added.
The chances they got, they used them and that was the difference. We didn’t come here to play a containing game, we were attacking.

The gaffer also promised a similar approach come Sunday when they host the return leg at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

To reach the stage, KCCA eliminated Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar 5-1 while AS Otoho D’Oyo joined the fray after being eliminated by Platinum Stars of Zimbabwe in the Caf Champions League.
