KCCA coach Mike Mutebi feels the difference between his side and Congo’s AS Otoho d’Oyo was effectiveness revealing the team wasn’t in Congo to play a containing game.
The Congo Brazzaville side won 3-0 against the Ugandan side to gain advantage ahead of the return match in Kampala on Sunday.
“It’s not over,” said Mutebi in reference to the defeat. “They were just effective in the final third and we were not but we were never outplayed at all,” he added.
The chances they got, they used them and that was the difference. We didn’t come here to play a containing game, we were attacking.

The gaffer also promised a similar approach come Sunday when they host the return leg at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
Even when we go back home, that how we are going to play but we must be effective with the chances we get because the chances we shall get.

Mutebi however admitted the opponents were good and used the ball well.
They were technically good and used the ball well.

To reach the stage, KCCA eliminated Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar 5-1 while AS Otoho D’Oyo joined the fray after being eliminated by Platinum Stars of Zimbabwe in the Caf Champions League.
Mr. Mutebi count your team as out of the tournament. You will not be able to score 4 goals without reply from the Congolese. Even the weak Mtibwa Sugar was able to score past you. Please come back homw and plan for next year.
4-0 is very possible at Lugogo but only reduce entry charges to allow more supports to come in for morale boostingComment
I wish Mutebi cud stand in for political post!! This soccer coach wat all I can tell Kcca has 20% of not conceding more many goals buh am 100% its home and away win for Otoho…kip lies aside
