Kitara Football Club reduced the eight-point difference to five with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rwenzori Group leaders Proline at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday.
Former Sports Club Villa forward George Ssenkaaba scored the lone strike on the evening as early as the 8th minute.
It took good fortunes and solid defending for Kitara who were being coached by Richard Makumbi for the very first time to jealously protect the lead and eventually win.
This was Kitara’s 5th victory in 11 matches, taking them to 18 points, five short of Proline.
