FUFA Big League (Rwenzori Group) | Match Day 11

  • Ntinda United 2-0 Kireka United

Ntinda United kick-started the second round of the 2018-19 FUFA Big League with a magical performance, beating Kireka United 2-0 at the Mandela National Stadium.

New signing Faruku Kawooya and Godfrey Mugambwa were on target for the victorious side.

Kawooya, a mid-season acquisition from Kiboga Young poked home the opener in the 38th minute of the poorly attended game.

Mugambwa got the second two minutes later to crown the first half 2-0.

There were no further goals in the second stanza of the game with near misses for either sides.

Also, Kitara piped Proline 1-0 at Lugogo with former SC Villa striker George Ssenkaaba finding the back of the net.

Kansai Plascon needed a 2-0 result away at Kira United to keep up with the pace of the leading pack.

Masindi based Dove and Kabale Sharp played to a two-all draw at the Katushabe play ground.

The FUFA Big League returns on Sunday with two matches.

Kataka hosts Doves All Stars Stars at the San Siro playground in Mbale while Kyetume entertains Amuka Bright Stars at the Nakisunga play ground in Mukono.
