As he heads into a new season, Dr Ashraf Ahmed is hopeful to better last season’s performance.
The ‘rallying doctor’ finished eighth overall in the championship following a good start to the season. But mechanical issues limited his performance.
“My primary target this season will still be enjoying myself like before. We just want to give the young boys a run for their money this season.
“Our main target will be improving last season’s performance and move positions. We cannot expect a lot from mbarara but we shall know by day one,” said Ahmed.

Ahmed showed his gratitude at the level where the sport has reached.
“I am really glad where the sport has reached lately. The boys have bought goods cars and improved their teams, which is good for the sport.
“I just hope they keep it that way. The new gem of drivers, service crews, fans and press are all getting better despite a few hiccups from the federation,” he added.
Ahmed will have Edward Kiyingi calling the pace notes in his Subaru impreza.
