KCCA opened a four point gap at the top of the league table despite a goalless draw with Bright Stars at Champions stadium, Mwererwe on Saturday.

The 12-time champions headed into the game on the back of a hard fought win over Onduparaka at Lugogo and were favourites against a side they have never lost to in the league.

Besides, Bright Stars had gone seven successive games without winning a game.

On the pitch, the two sides gave it a good fight with Benson Wegima thwarting all attacks on goal while at the other end, Nelson Senkatuka missed arguably his side’s best chance when he hit the post.

The Kasasiro were the better side overall but couldn’t break a resilient Bright Stars defence as the two teams shared the points.

KCCA are now on 41 points, four better that second placed Vipers who were stunned by SC Villa at home while Fred Kajoba’s charges are now 9th on the log with 23 points.
