Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye and Brian Umony opened their Express accounts as the club bounced back to winning ways ending a five game winless streak with a 2-0 win over Nyamityobora at Kakyeeka.
George Ssimwogerere and the Red Eagles went into the game eager to pick all points but had to settle for a goalless at half time.
Two minutes after the break, Tumwesigye put the visitors into the lead connecting with Disan Galiwango cross from the left.
The goal prompted Nyamityobora into greater ascendency but could break through.
At the end neared, the hosts fumbled at the back, gifting experienced Umony to pounce and bury home in the 88th minute.
Express’ first win since beating Nyamityobora again 2-1 on December 28 and the side moved to 24 points in tenth place.
Nyamityobora dropped a place in the relegation zone, remaining on 12 points in 15th place.
