Global beverage brand Pepsi successfully lured on board two of the current finest footballers – Leo Messi and Mohamed Salah in a promotion for the 2019 UEFA Champions league campaign.

Ugandans too, have not been left of the box with ‘win like a baller’ promotion where consumers of pepsi stand to win cash and airtime.

The campaign was launched this week at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel with sports journalists from most media houses in the country the immediate early bird winners.

The promotion will run up to the end of the champions league season, culminating with the two successful clubs during Madrid’s final later in May 2019.

How to win:

Consumers simply have to purchase a pepsi bottle, check under the crown and send the code to 7888 for a chance to win cash and airtime instantly.

The numbers are also entered into a draw to win close to 15,000,000 during the weekly TV draw.

The sports journalists in attendance were involved in a quiz to test their knowledge of the champions league.

Three journalists won a total of Shs 900,000 (each 300,000) as a promotional gimmick, branded jerseys, vuvuzelas, T-Shirts and water bottles.

After the launch of the campaign, those in attendance watched the Manchester United 2-0 home defeat to French side Paris Saint Germaine (PSG).
