Ndejje University maintained their fight to avoid the relegation monster with a 3-1 win over Nyamityobora at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje on Tuesday.

Isaac Kisujju netted a brace with Robert Eseru adding the other goal for Ndejje University’s 6th victory of the season in 26 games.

Joseph Akandwanaho had pulled a goal back for the visiting Nyamityobora to give a spirited display.

Eseru struck the Lions into the first half lead with 36th minute goal.

Kisujju added the second on 64 minutes to extend the lead before Akandwanaho poked home a consolation for Nyamityobora with 19 minutes to the end of the game.

Kisujju returned to seal the game in the 78th minute for a great victory.

Ndejje University’s Ronald Odokonyero, Eseru as well as Nyamityobora’s duo of Frederick Mayindi and Akandwanaho were the booked parties by referee Ali Sabilla.

Kisujju was named the man of the match as well for the command in the game.

This victory further gives hope to Ndejje University with 4 games left.

The Bombo based institution now has 24 points from 26 matches, two points shy of Maroons and SC Villa who have accumulated 26 points apiece from 25 games.

Meanwhile, KCCA officially relegated Paidha Black Angels with a 2-0 win at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo.

Muzamiru Mutyaba and Henry Patrick Kaddu scored for Mike Mutyaba’s charges who are now 7 points ahead of second-placed Vipers. The latter has a game in hand, against Mbarara City on Wednesday.

Police humbled another West Nile based side Onduparaka 2-1 at the StarTimes Stadium.

On colour Police forward Juma Balinya struck a brace to take his personal tally of the season to 19 goals.

Left footed winger Viane Ssekajugo pulled back the consolation of the Catarpillars who suffered their 9th loss of the season, the second consecutive fall, following a shocking 1-0 slip at home to visiting Tooro United last week.
