With barely two months to the throw off of the 2019 Netball World Cup, several teams are in final preparations ahead of the championship.
Equally, the She Cranes have hit high gear in their preparations as they seek for a good show come July.
Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) has confirmed a friendly game against Zimbabwe at the end of this month.
“We expected to have a friendly game with South Africa as well but they failed us, however, now we are sure that Zimbabwe will be in Uganda at the end of this month,” confirmed UNF President Susan Anek according to Daily Monitor.
“Other countries have not yet confirmed to us but we are still looking forward to those games,” she added.
The team has been in non-residential training for close to a month and the squad will be trimmed to 20 players that will enter the residential camp.
These have been subjected to medical tests (pregnancy tests, Hepatitis B and any other injuries).
At the World Cup, Uganda is in group D alongside hosts England, Samoa and Scotland while Zimbabwe, on the other hand, is in group A with Australia, Northern Ireland and Sri Lanka
