The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Drum match day two continued on Saturday, 13th April 2019 with four games.
A total of 11 goals were scored on Saturday, a positive reflection coming to the completion of the match day two on Sunday.
Defending champions Buganda made it six points in two matches, winning 2-1 on the road against Sebei at the bumpy Kiprotich play ground in Kapchorwa.
Veteran striker Robert Ssentongo scored Buganda’s two goals in a match also watched by the reigning world double olympic champion, Joshua Cheptegei.
Isaac Doka Mweru, who was also man of the match scored the consolation for the home side.
After an impressive start where they won 1-0 away to West Nile, Bunyoro suffered a home loss, falling 2-1 to Acholi at the Kigaya Primary School playground in Hoima.
Vipers Sports Club striker Tito Okello had a brace on the evening.
Mbarara City’s Brian Aheebwa got the consolation for Bunyoro.
Acholi’s goalkeeper Derrick Ochan, also a shot stopper at Vipers was named Man of the match, a reward that comes with 100,000 cash prize.
Kampala lost for the second consecutive weekend, losing 2-0 to away to Tooro at the St Paul’s National Seminary in Kabarole
A penalty by Steven Ategeka and Mustapha Anwar’s goals won the game for Tooro, who had picked a point in the one all draw in the away draw with Busoga on match day one.
This is Kampala’s second loss of the campaign having lost 1-0 at home to Rwenzori on the opening weekend.
At the UTC Play ground in Lira, home side Lango Province was on song, scoring 3 goals without being replied against Ankole.
KCCA Football Club captain Dennis Timothy Awany and the Amuka Bright Stars duo Denish Omedi and Moses Aliro scored for Lango.
Awany scooped the man of the match honours.
Match day two games continue on Sunday with four matches lined up.
Rwenzori seeks for a second win in the campaign when they host Busoga at the Nyahuka play ground in Bundibudgyo.
Karamoja will face West Nile at the St Daniel Comboni primary school in Kotido district.
Teso play plays host to Bugisu at the Soroti Sports ground in Soroti and Kigezi will entertain Bugisu at the Kabale Municipal Stadium in Kabale.
