Isra Soccer Academy revived their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs of the 2018-19 FUFA Women Elite League following their slim victory against Lango Queens on Tuesday.

In the game played at Valley grounds in Kawempe Isra secured a 1-0 victory against visiting Lango Queens.

Lethal forward Fauziah Najjemba scored the lone goal of the game for her side to remain within the playoff zone.

The goal took her tally to eleven this season, just one behind leading goal scorer Hasifa Nassuna of UCU Lady Cardinals.

The victory means Isra Soccer Academy remain 5th but move to 19 points, five behind leaders UCU Lady Cardinals with three games to play in the regular season.

Second-placed Uganda Martyrs High School has 22 points and still have to play against Isra Soccer Academy and third-placed Kampala Queens.

Isra has to face Uganda Martyrs High School, Olila High School( fourth on 21 points) and bottom-placed Bugiri Town View SS.

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC lead Victoria group on 31 points and already confirmed their place in the playoffs while second-placed Lady Doves need only one point in the remaining three games.

It should be noted that only two teams in each of the two groups qualify for the playoffs where the champion is determined.
