  • HNK Gorica 3-0 Hajduk Split

Uganda Cranes international Farouk Miya scored a brace as Hrvatski Nogometni Klub (HNK) Gorica out-muscled  Hajduk Split 3-0 during a Croatia Premier League contest played at the Stadion Radnik in Velika, Gorica on Saturday.

Miya netted twice with the other goal, a penalty coming from Lukasz Zwolinksi on the stroke of half time.

The former Vipers player opened the scoring business as early as the 11th minute.

Zwolinksi added the second a penalty on the stroke of half time as the home side bossed the opening stanza 2-0.

Upon restart of play in the second half, Miya scored his second, the team’s third on the evening before he was replaced by Michal Maslowski.

Hrvatski Nogometni Klub Gorica now has 14 victories from 31 matches as they are 5th on the team log.

Hajduk Split was condemned to their 7th loss of the season, remaining fourtj with 50 points.

Dinamo Zagreb leads the 10 team standings with a massive 79 points off 31 points, 23 points off second placed Rijeka.

HNK Gorica travels to Rudes on Friday, 3rd May 2019 at Stadion Kranjceviceva before hosting Istra 1961 a week later.

On 15th May 2019, Miya and the rest of his teammates will make a trip to Stadion Maksimir to take on the champions in the making Dinamo Zagreb.
