Flooded situation of the Arena of Visions when Ndejje University hosted Onduparaka on Wednesday

The Ndejje University and Onduparaka game in the Uganda Premier League at the Arena of Visions in Bombo was aborted just after 20 minutes because of a heavy storm.

With the flooded surface and poor visibility, the game was halted by the referee FIFA Referee Shamirah Nabadda.

When it reduced, the ground was so flooded rendering the movement of the ball virtually impossible, thus calling for a postponement.

According to the Uganda Premier League manager, Paul Kabaikaramu, the match will be replayed on Thursday, 2nd May 2019 at 2 PM.

This is the first game to be aborted this season, particularly because of floods.

The game between Ndejje University and Onduparaka was halted in the 20th minute because of heavy rain. It will be replayed on Thursday, 2nd May 2019 at the same venue for 70 minutes only

Uganda Premier League Statement

Ndejje University seeks for maximum points if they are to survive being relegated ahead of their final game of the season on Saturday, 4th May 2019 away to Kirinya-Jinja S.S.

The newly promoted side are on 26 points and have realistic chances of survival only if they win their remaining two matches and pray that SC Villa losses to already relegated Nyamityobora at Namboole on Saturday.

Arua based Onduparaka are currently 7th on 41 points and will fight for maximum points to displace Mbarara City in the 5th place.

Last Games:

Ndejje University will travel to the Mighty Arena in Jinja to play Kirinya-Jinja on Saturday, 4th May 2019.

On the same day, Onduparaka will be home to Express FC at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.
