1st Semi-final Uganda Cup | Return Leg

Sunday, May 5, 2019: Proline Vs Kyetume  (Lugogo, 3 PM)

*Proline leads 2-1 on aggregate

It is advantage Proline ahead of their return leg for the Uganda Cup semi-finals.

The two sides square off at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo for the return leg.

The first leg played at the Nakisunga Ssaza play ground was won by Proline, 2-1 with Ibrahim Bonyo and Mustafa Mujjuzi scoring for Shafiq Bisaso’s side.

Robert Ssentongo pulled back the consolation for the star studded Kyetume.

There is still a lot to play for and the game could swing either way.

With the final bend of the FUFA Big league around the corner this coming week, Proline will take a cautious approach to the game since they have to make the long trip to Kabale to play in their final game of the regular season, a decider of sorts.

Kyetume is already assured of qualification to the play-offs for the Big league and will attack the game aggressively.

Proline’s goalkeeper Hassan Matovu will be expected to be at his best, like he has played in the previous game to encounter Kyetume’s vastly experienced players as Robert Ssentongo, Vicent Kayizzi Walugembe, Patrick Ochan, Faisam Malango and Owen Kasule among others.

Defender Benon Tahomera’s dead ball expertise will highly inspire the visitors who are not familiar to the artificial surface despite having trained at the FUFA Technical center, Njeru on the match eve.

Bonyo, Hakim Kiwanuka, Ivan Bogere, Noordin Bunjo and Bright Anukani remain special players for the home side if they are to count their chances of making it to the finals.

During the respective FUFA Big League immediate past encounters, Kyetume condemned Nebbi Central 5-1 in a one sided duel as Proline squandered a one goal lead to draw with rivals Kansai Plascon at Lugogo.

These two FUFA Big League sides will either face Express or Bright Stars in the final slated for 25th May 2019 at the Masaka Recreational Stadium, Masaka.
