Uganda Cranes Captain Denis Onyango and his former coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic have been nominated in PSL awards for the just concluded season.
Onyango is nominated in the Goalkeeper of the Season category while Micho in the Coach of the Season set.
The Ugandan and Africa’s number one who helped the Brazilians retain the PSL title is nominated alongside Peter Leeuwenburgh (Cape Town City) and Ronwen Williams (SuperSport United).
Micho, who guided the Buccaneers to second behind Sundowns on two points, will have to fend off competition from Onyango’s coach Pitso Mosimane and Cape Town City’s Benni McCarthy.
Champions Sundowns have been dominant in the nominations with skipper Hlompho Kekana, Themba Zwane and Ricardo Nascimento all nominated.
