Day of African Child: Saturday, 15th June 2019

Venue: Bukoto Health Centre & Mulimira Zone

Theme: “Humanitarian Action in Africa: Children’s Rights First “

When Celebrations for the day of the Day of the African Child take effect on Saturday, 15th June 2019, the Brian Umony Foundation has planned something special for the children.

Ranking aloft the list of activities lined up on the day will be the distribution of the mama kits, cleaning of the Bukoto Health Centre as well as conducting of a football clinic with the community team in Mulimira zone.

Umony is being joined by footballers Savio Kabugo, Ivan Bukenya, Brian Majwega and Baker Lukooya as well as radio personalities, Kasuku Wazabanga and Bryan Sabiiti McKenzie  who have all confirmed to attend the event.

This development has been duly confirmed by the Brian Umony Foundation Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Tabu.


Our football brothers Savio Kabugo, Ivan Bukenya, Brian Majwega and Baker Lukooya will be part of the group to join Brain Umony on Saturday, 15th June 2019 to celebrate the day of the African Children. Also confirmed are Kasuku Wazabanga and McKenzie.

Kabugo is back in the country on holidays after an impressive season at DR Congo side AS Vita Football Club.

Bukenya completed the season half of the 2018/19 season at UPL side Police as Lukooya plies his trade at AFC Leopards in the Kenya Premier League.

Brian Majwega is a player who has of late played at Uganda Premier League side Maroons F.C.

Across the world, the Day of the African Child 2019 will be commemorated on  15th June 2019 along the theme: “Humanitarian Action in Africa: Children’s Rights First”.

The day is meant to highlight the value of the African child, the hardships that children in Africa undertake and how best the typical African child can be best developed and molded into responsible citizens.

The Brian Umony Foundation is working with close associates and long term partners as Bet Lion, National Council of Sports (NCS), Skool Info and Radio City among others.
