Cricket Cranes were unable to overpower the Triumph Knights losing by 41 runs in the second 40-over game played at the ICWC Academy.
The Cricket Cranes won the toss and chose to field first with Stephen Wabwose, the only change in the Cricket Cranes squad, taking the gloves from Cyrus Kakuru.
There were no early wickets for the Cricket Cranes as they opening bowlers laboured for a breakthrough. The left-arm pace of Charles Waiswa accounted for the opening pair both caught behind by Stephen Wabwose.
Siddhant Adhatrao (53 not out) held the innings together for the hosts and he gave Parikshit Valsangkar (66) power hitting down the order helped the hosts post a competitive 255/9 in 40 overs.
In the chase, Roger Mukasa (17) and Zephaniah Arinaitwe (19) were slow to get out of the blocks with the visitors behind on the asking rate from the onset.
Vice-Captain Arnold Otwani (69) and Kenneth Waiswa (45) combined for a partnership of more than 50 runs but when the asking rate got big on them they had to do something that ultimately cost them their wickets.
Frank Akankwasa (25) put on some late fireworks but he could not get the visitors over the line. The cricket cranes ultimately falling short by 41 runs in the second 40-over game in Mumbai.
The Cricket Cranes will now move their base to Sanjay Farm in Chihkli for the remainder of the tour before returning home on 26th February.
