  • SC Villa 2-2 Police

For the second successive campaign, SC Villa and Police have played to a 2-2 goal in the league.

In a game played at Bombo on Saturday afternoon, SC Villa scored through Muhammad Ssenoga and Goffin Oyirwoth while the Cops had goals coming from Johnson Odong and debutant Henry Kisekka.

Ssenoga broke the deadlock in the 18th minute before Odong restored parity for Abdallah Mubiru’s men with a leveller from a penalty five minutes later.

Oyirwoth put the Jogoos into the lead again with a good goal that ensured they led at half time.

Police made an immediate change after the break handing Kisekka his debut replacing Frank Tumwesigye and three minutes on the pitch, he levelled matters for the 2005 champions.

Despite either side giving it ago, the score remained tied at the final whistle.

The draw means the two teams have held each other on the previous five league meetings with three ending 2-2 while the others 1-1.

Police moved a point above KCCA in the 4th position with 24 points, four behind leaders Express FC while SC Villa are 7th with 19 points.

On menu for Villa is a trip to Kitende to face defending champions Vipers on Wednesday while Police host URA in a promising mouth-watering fixture on the same day.
