Another lunch time kick off awaits Busoga United against newly promoted Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Tuesday, 9th March 2021.

Busoga United has previously played at the same time and venue against Soltilo Bright Stars, with the match ending all square one all.

Coming to yet another home game, Busoga United needs to put the dismissal start of the season to bed as they seek for the opening victory against newcomers MYDA.

Like Busoga United, MYDA is also yet to pick any win since being promoted home or away.

In 12 matches, Busoga United has lost 7 and drawn 5 times as they lie in the relegation docket in the 14th position with just 5 points.

MYDA is not any better with just three draws and 9 losses which leaves the Malaba based club with just 3 points and are second from bottom behind Kitara (2 points).

In the immediate past games for these two clubs, MYDA rallied from behind to early a point at home during the 2 all draw stalemate against visiting Kitara at the King George IV Memorial Stadium in Tororo.

Busoga United lost 1-0 on the road to Express at Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

There is growing pressure therefore for the two clubs (MYDA and Busoga United) to work for at least a victory as the first round comes to a climax.

Head coach of Busoga United Abbey Bogere Kikomeko is a keen follower and admirer of MYDA.

Apparently Kikomeko often travels to Tororo to watch how MYDA fares, having spent the better part of the pre-season with them.

The goalkeeping duo of Rogers Omedwa and Ali Kimera, Anthony Mayanja, Douglas Muganga, Shafik Nana Kakeeto, Sharif Kimbowa, Paul Ssekulima, Jeromy Kirya, Abubakar Otwao, youngster Edwin Opaala Mukisa and others are present to make ends meet for Busoga United.

MYDA, whose last away game was the 2 all draw against Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso will also be eyeing another positive away from home.

Under Abdul Samadu Musafiri, MYDA has squandered several opportunities to register maximum points.

“We need to put our act together and work for positive results with a win. The players are well aware of the task in thy midst” Musafiri who is under fire from the fans disclosed.

In Ibrahim Nsiimbe, MYDA has a formidable sharp shooter who has scored 6 goals and still yearning for more.

Eric Mutebi, Norman Ojik, Solomon Babyesiza, Fred Okot, Faizal Muledhu, Paul Musamali, Moses Batali, Paul Kibande and the on form Labanese international Ahmed Hussein Saleh are some of MYDA’s key players.
