The 2021 National Basketball League will tip-off on Saturday, April 17 with champions City Oilers taking on Nam Blazers the highlight of the opening weekend.

The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association released the regular season fixtures on Wednesday and league newcomers Namuwongo Blazers have been straight away thrown into the deep end.

If the off season business is anything to go by, the game between Oilers and Blazers could be a season marker.

While all the twelve men’s teams were drawn in the fixture, only eight teams will compete in the women’s division, and missing are former champions A1 Challenge and UMU Ravens.

According to the fixture, the single-leg regular season will be played until June 5 at UCU in Mukono and KIU in Kansanga. However, this website has learnt that the federation is still engaging the National Council of Sports to availed the MTN Arena since games will be played behind closed doors.
