Management of Uganda Premier League entity Wakiso Giants Football Club is in final negotiations with Alex Gitta.

Gitta is expected to beef up the back room staff under Douglas Bamweyana as head coach.

The development comes after Wakiso Giants had approached Sadiq Sempigi who politely declined the offer to complete the work tasks at Mbarara City where he is currently employed

The Purple Sharks Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sula Kamoga could neither confirm or refute the development.

“At this moment, it is difficult to take a stand until official communication is out” Kamoga revealed when approached.

Gitta has been a free agent after having served at Uganda Wildlife Football Club.

He has previously handled Express, Entebbe Football Club, Masavu and Busiro Ssaza team.

Gitta is a retired defender who played the entire backline with game intelligence.

Besides football coaching credentials, Gitta is also a qualified lawyer and recently graduated from Nkumba University.

He is also a known advocate for freedom of expression and speech.
