KCCA FC made light work of Nyamityobora FC on Wednesday to earn advantage in the Uganda Cup, round of 32 tie.
In the game played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo KCCA FC secured a 4-2 win ahead of the return leg in Mbarara over the weekend.
Midfielder Bright Anukani opened the scores as early as the third minute with a curling effort that set the tone for the home side.
Poloto who scored last week against BUL FC in the league on return from injury doubled the lead for KCCA FC six minutes later.
Nyamityobora’s skipper Clinton Kamugisha pulled one back midway through the first stanza but Sadat Anaku got the third goal for KCCA FC and they led 3-1 heading into the mandatory break.
Upon restart, the Abanyakare looked rejuvenated and Kamugisha got his second on the day as hopes of a comeback were revived.
However, second half substitute Sam Ssenyonjo put the game beyond reach in the 85th minute thus enasuring KCCA FC carry a big advantage in the return leg.
Nyamityobora FC therefore, will have to win 2-0 at Kakyeka Stadium to advance to the round of 16.
In the other games played on Wednesday, Paidha Black Angels edged Soltilo Bright Stars FC 1-0 at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo while Arua Hill SC overcame UPDF FC 3-2 in Arua.
