Proline progressed to the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 stage with a hard fought 5-4 aggregate victory over Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA).
Even though they lost 3-1 at the King George IV Stadium in Tororo, Proline still managed to advance to the next stage (round of 16) with a 5-4 aggregate score.
Lebanese international Ahmed Saleh, Amos Kirya and goalkeeper Isaac Osikol (penalty) scored the goals for the home side.
Saleh who had also scored the consolation during their 4-1 loss in the first leg opened the scoring in the 35th minute to take a 1-0 lead by the mandatory half way mark.

Kirya scored the second goal three minutes into the second half.
Uganda Cranes international Brian Umony had the consolation for Proline, winner of the Uganda Cup in 2019.
There was late drama in this game when Paul Musamali missed a penalty in the closing stages of the game.
Against the run of play, Umony got the consolation before Osikol scored another penalty.

Proline joins Maroons among the successful clubs to the round of 16.
The other clubs to this stage are; BUL, Vipers, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Proline.
Maroons made the grade with a 7-1 aggregate win over Terrazo and Tiles following a 6-0 comprehensive home win at the Luzira Prisons Stadium.
BUL progressed 4-0 on aggregate at the expense of Blacks Power, Vipers won 5-1 on aggregate over Busoga United, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) edged Mbarara City 1-0 on aggregate and Proline were 5-4 winners over Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) on aggregate.
Meanwhile, the round of 32 return leg matches continue on Saturday, 10th April 2021 with several matches.
