SC Villa overturned a one goal deficit in a 3-0 victory over Ndejje University to reach the last 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Following a frustrating first half that ended goalless at the Arena of Visions, the Jogoos ran rampant scoring three goals through Ronald Ssekiganda, debutant Geoffrey Wasswa and skipper Emmanuel Wasswa.

Ssekiganda headed home from Fred Agandu’s cross in the 62nd minute before Wasswa doubled the lead with his first goal for the club from the penalty kick after handball in the area four minutes later.

Emmanuel Wasswa extended the lead in the 71st minute and thought he had it made four nil a few minutes later but goal was cancelled for offside.

The win gives the Jogoos a 3-1 aggregate win and joins among others Wakiso Giants, KCCA, Vipers, URA, Express, Police and Soltilo Bright Stars into the last sixteen.

The Jogoos next game is a tough one against rivals Express FC in the league at Bombo on Wednesday.
