Onduparaka Football Club rallied from a goal down to overcome visiting Kitara 2-1 during Matchday 17 of the Uganda Premier League at the Green Light Stadium in Arua on Tuesday, 13th April 2021.
Nathan Oloro gave Kitara the lead on 17 minutes as the visitors took command of the game.
The joy was short lived with Mahdi Ajobe’s equalizer six minutes later as the opening half ended 1 goal apiece.


Noel Nasasira scored the winner in the 63rd minute to give the Catarpillars authority of the game for the first time.
Onduparaka held onto this lead to grab maximum points on home soil.
Derrick Ochen was named the pilsner man of the match for the immense contribution in the game.


This was Onduparaka’s 7th victory of the season in 17 matches, the first for newly appointed head coach Joseph Harold Mutyaba and his assistant Louis Kizito.
Onduparaka had lost 2-0 on the road away to Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on 31st March 2021.
The Caterpillars are now 8th on the 16 team log with 24 points, a point short of UPDF who visit Police at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo on Wednesday, 14th April 2021.
Bottom lagging Kitara suffered their 14th defeat of the season that leaves them on just 5 points from 17 matches.

Match day 18 will be played on Friday, 16th, Saturday,17th and Sunday, 18th April 2021.
Kitara hosts their first game at the Masindi Stadium on Friday since being granted permission to relocate from Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
Meanwhile, Onduparaka makes the visit to Wakiso Giants on Saturday at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.
