  • Wakiso Giants 2-0 Onduparaka

Ivan Bogere and Pius Kaggwa scored a goal in each half respectively as Wakiso Giants beat Onduparaka 2-0 to earn their first win of the league at home.

Bogere opened the scoring for the hosts in the 23rd minute making a decent connection off debutant Frank Sebuufu low cross from the right.

The score line could have been different had Wakiso Giants taken all their chances in the first half that ended with them leading just 1-0.

Bogere then turned provider for Pius Kaggwa who made no mistake but blast the ball into the top of the roof on 61 minutes.

It was Kaggwa’s first goal for the club since joining from Police in the primary transfer window while Bogere has now scored three goals in as many games in all competitions.

Wakiso Giants stayed 13th on the table but are now on 19 points, six above relegation zone while Onduparaka are 9th with 24 points.

The Purple Sharks take on champions Vipers next on Tuesday away at Kitende while Ondu host MYDA in Arua.
