- SC Villa 0-0 URA
URA missed an opportunity to go two points clear at the top after being held to a goalless draw by SC Villa at Bombo.
The four time champions came into the game needing maximum points to overtake Vipers who were held by Wakiso Giants on Tuesday.
Sam Ssimbwa’s side started brightly but failed to breakdown a resilient SC Villa defence led by youngster Gavin Kizito and Villa later grew into the game.
There was little to write about in the end as both sides created less in the final third.
URA are still tied with Vipers on 43 points after 19 games although the Venoms are top by virtue of superior goal difference.
SC Villa are now 6th on the log with 30 points but have gone three games with no win.
Next on menu for the Tax men is a trip to Kavumba where on form Soltilo Bright Stars is lurking on Saturday while Villa travel to Mbarara City on the same day.
