The Acholi Quarters Rugby Academy (AQRA) age-grade girls will join the Central Region Women’s 10s for round two of the championship. The tournament will be hosted by Black Pearls at their home ground, Kings Park Stadium in Bweyogerere.

Acholi Quarters Girls pulled out of the first round hosted by Lady Swans in Entebbe due to financial constraints.

Their return for the second round increases the number of tier 2 teams to five namely leaders Blue Whales, Black Diamonds, Lady Swans, Ewes and the Acholi Quarters Girls.

Action will kick off at 9.30 a.m. and will run throughout the day until 4 p.m.

In the tier 2 category, Blue Whales target another clean sweep of points while Black Diamonds attempt to overthrow them. Ewes and Lady Swans will be glad to get more game time and experience for their rising talents to compete against the top crop.

In tier 1, Thunderbirds look to put a bad opening round behind them so that they can challenge leaders Black Pearls and Avengers.
