Gaddafi Football Club needed a late goal to beat visiting Calvary 1-0 during match day 7 of the Elgon group in the FUFA Big League at the Kyabazinga stadium, Jinja city.
Ronald Obele was the hero with the goal that gave the home side maximum points.
Obele’s goal arrived with 18 minutes left on the clock, moments after striker Joel Madondo had missed from 12 yards (penalty kick).
The victory elevated Gaddafi to second place with 13 points, two away from the Elgon group leaders Arua Hill.


Arua Hill overcame Paidha Black Angels 2-0 at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.
Blacks Power registered a 3-1 convincing win over visiting Maroons to go third on the log.
This was Maroons’ fourth loss on the row.
Kataka fell 2-1 to bitter rivals Mbale Heroes at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.

In Kabale, Kigezi Home Boyz rallied from two goals down to draw 2-all with Tooro United at the Municipal Stadium.
Marvin Oshaba scored a brace for Tooro United. Kigezi Home Boyz’s goals came from Denis Lubowa (penalty) and Henry Mugoya.
Terrazo and Tiles lost 1-0 to Nyamityobora during the Mbarara derby.
Ndejje University lost 2-1 to newcomers Luwero United at the Arena of Visions.

Action resumes on Monday, 26th April 2021 with a single game between Proline and Water at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Three clubs will be promoted to the Uganda Premier League by the close of business of the FUFA Big League.
The two clubs are promoted directly; one apiece from either groups (Elgon and Rwenzori).
The third club is determined via a promotional play-off.
