URA must dig deeper to beat Mbarara City who they host at the Arena of Visions on Tuesday to stretch their lead at the summit of the league table.

The two sides have drawn all their league meetings since the Ankole Lions gained promotion in 2017 and there has only been one win in all competitions in eight clashes.

Sam Ssimbwa’s side have a chance to open up a four point gap at the top with victory since both Vipers and Express FC are not in action until 24 hours later.

They have failed to utilise the two opportunities to open up a sizeable gap after Vipers drew and lost their encounters with away draws to SC Villa and Soltilo Bright Stars and any other slip up will be detrimental to their title charge.

Mbarara City come into the game beaming with confidence after winning their last three of the five games including beating SC Villa 2-1 over the weekend.

Their last visit at the Arena of Vision was a draw in the Stanbic Uganda Cup and they will believe in replicating that performance.
